Jackson Interior Design and Furnishing Company was established in 1979 to serve the interior design and furnishing needs of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. However, we also provide these services outside of our geographic location. Our offices and accessory gallery were located in the Tri-Cities Regional Airport until 1990. At that time, we moved to our current location at 1605 Blountville Boulevard in Blountville, TN. We are staffed by registered and degreed designers with more than forty-five years of experience in both residential and commercial interior design. We provide “one-of-a-kind” designs which address the Client’s specific needs.
Design and Technical Services
We are staffed by registered and degreed designers with more than forty-five years of interior design experience. We provide a full range of services for residential and commercial projects including interview/ information gathering; programming; problem solving; space planning; furniture selection/layout; specification of finish materials; technical drawings (elevations, schematics, perspectives); and purchasing; installation services, using installers who are known to us to do quality work; and project oversight. We provide electrical and acoustical planning; circulation and lighting analysis; barrier-free design solutions; and code compliant design solutions. We address workplace noise pollution; “sick building” syndrome; and productivity problems. We are experienced in systems furniture planning and installation, and we provide unique design that cater to the client’s needs.
Products and Budget
We not only sell furniture, but also carpet, wall coverings, window treatments, ceilings, accessories, and cabinetry. We sell such specialty items as computer support furniture and home office furniture. We purchase from more than 100 manufacturers. We are not “married” to particular manufacturers, therefore, we can truly provide the best products for the best money for each Client’s particular needs. We do not inventory, except for accessories, and therefore are not burdened by the cost of carrying inventory or paying for the space to house it. We ask that you not be taken in by the “Discount from Retail” gimmick. It is routine in our area, and in North Carolina, for dealers to inflate retail, and then offer a discount from that mark-up and claim savings for the customer. We price from cost, and we will save you money by doing so. Our charges are commensurable with the services received. In conjunction with our accessories gallery, we provide an accessorizing service which allows the Client to make purchases based on in-home or in office viewing. We also provide customized purchasing from markets in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and San Francisco. This custom buying service assures unique pieces for unique projects.
